Genetic Analysis performed by Genetic Technologies, Inc. produces a “Probability of Paternity” greater than 99.99% for “inclusions” and is absolute for “exclusions” in the determination of paternity and presents likelihood ratios of 1 in trillions for human identification. 

One sample type is not preferred over another. Mouth swabs, blood, or any nucleated cell will all provide the same genetic information with the same degree of accuracy.

Test results obtained from specimens collected by a Genetic Technologies, Inc. technician or contracted facility are admissible in a court of law.

Test results obtained from self-administered collection kits may not be admissible in a court of law.

If you opt to submit a blood sample rather than a mouth swab, the blood sample is collected by means of a fingerstick rather than veni-puncture. The fingerstick device is individually packaged, sterile and designed for one-time use. There is no possibility of a biological hazard originating from this device.

Insurance plans do not cover or reimburse the cost of DNA / Paternity Testing.

If a client suspects infidelity is an issue, clothing or other items (towel, bed sheet, menstrual pad, etc.) may be submitted for genetic analysis. A mouth swab from the initiating client may be used in order to include or eliminate him/her as a contributor to the biological material in question.

DNA analysis may be performed on hair with intact root sheathing present.

Mixtures of genetic material from two or more individuals may be identified.

The targeted areas within the DNA molecule utilized for parentage/paternity testing and human identity testing provide absolutely no information regarding disease or sexual preference and are therefore useless to insurance companies, employers, etc.

Test results are available within 48 hours of receipt of the specimens. If results are required in less than 48 hours, arrangements can be made for “rush” analysis.

Test results are conclusive in that they provide a definitive answer.

The cost for the Genetic Analysis and all Legal Documents is $265.00. Sample collection fees at contracted facilities are not included in this price-facility collection fees range from $15-$25 per person. Sample collection fees for a private in-home collection by a Genetic Technologies, Inc. technician is $50 per visit.

Genetic Technologies, Inc. will accept a check, check by phone, money order, faxed money order, or major credit card (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, Bravo). Your credit card statement will read “Genetic Technologies, Inc.” under Description / Activity. Genetic Technologies, Inc. does not release information to anyone other than the initiating client, tested individuals, and/or their authorized legal representative. Genetic Technologies, Inc. will not issue reports or release test results to a third party unless ordered to do so by the court. The initiating client will be notified by Genetic Technologies, Inc., that a court order has been issued prior to releasing test results to a third party and/or their legal representative.

Test results will be mailed to the initiating client, tested individuals, and/or their authorized legal representative. Test results will only be released over the telephone to initiating client and/or their legal representative with written consent of the initiating client and use of a pre-arranged password.

Please note: New York residents must obtain results through their physician or have written permission from the physician authorizing the release of test results directly to a tested party.

Genetic Technologies, Inc. will maintain electronic data / case reports for a period of seven years. Special arrangements may be made if necessary for a client to retain such data for a longer period of time.
